Bihar Diwas 2024

Bihar Diwas is celebrated on March 22nd annually to mark Bihar’s separation from Bengal in 1912 and its establishment as an independent province in British India.
The celebrations usually include cultural programs, exhibitions, and events that showcase Bihar’s rich history, culture, and traditions.
Due to the Lok Sabha elections, there was no state-level program in 2024; instead, local administrations organized programs according to the guidelines of the State Election Commission.
Saran district celebrated Bihar Diwas by conducting an awareness drive about the importance of voting in different trains under the SVEEP program.

GRID Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) is a Miniratna Category-I CPSE recognized by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, for its pivotal role in the nation’s power landscape.
Established in 2009, GRID-INDIA ensures smooth and continuous operation of the Indian Power System, managing the All India Synchronous Grid, one of the world’s largest and most complex power systems.

Mineral production in India grew by 5.9% in January 2024 compared to January 2023, with notable increases in magnesite, copper concentrate, and coal.
Cumulative growth from April 2023 to January 2024 was 8.3%, indicating a consistent upward trend in mineral production.
The production levels of key minerals like coal, natural gas, and crude petroleum remained significant, reflecting the robust health of the industrial sector.
Positive growth was observed in magnesite, copper concentrate, coal, limestone, bauxite, and other minerals, while gold, chromite, and phosphorite experienced declines.

All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Laborers (CPI-AL) and Rural Laborers (CPI-RL) remained stable at 1258 and 1269, respectively, in February 2024.
Eight states saw a decline in CPI-AL, while seven states saw a decline in CPI-RL, with two states showing no change.
Retail inflation for agricultural and rural workers grew marginally in February 2023, with CPI-AL at 6.94% and CPI-RL at 6.87%.
Gujarat experienced the maximum increase in CPI numbers (8 points each), while Assam saw the maximum decrease (7 points each) in February 2023.
