NIELIT, ITI Egypt sign MoU to enhance workforce skills and foster international cooperation

Signatories :include the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in India and Egypt’s Information Technology Institute (ITI).
Date & Location: Signed on March 12, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt.

Purpose: To improve workforce skills, increase employment possibilities, close skill gaps, and promote international collaboration in the field of information, electronics, and communication technology (IECT).

Participants: Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology (IECT), and Ajit Gupte, India’s envoy to Egypt, witnessed the signing.

Key areas of collaboration:

  • Curriculum & Training Materials : Develop a thorough curriculum and training materials.
  • Exchange of Trainers and Experts: Enable exchange to enrich learning and promote cross-cultural understanding.
  • Mutual Recognition of Certification: Streamline skill validation and increase professional mobility between India and Egypt.
  • Sharing of Virtual Labs Facility: Provide access to cutting-edge equipment and resources for hands-on training.
  • Offering Post Graduate (PG) Diplomas/Technical Certificates: Increase the employability and skill set of Egyptian interns nominated by ITI Egypt.
  • Offering of B.Tech/ M.Tech Programs: Egyptian students can pursue B.Tech and M.Tech programs offered by NIELIT.
  • Free Digital Literacy Flagship Course: NIELIT will provide this course to Egyptian students via its Virtual Academy.
