Tiger Triumph-24: India-US Tri-Service HADR Exercise

Overview:

  • Date: March 18 to 31, 2024.
  • Location: Eastern Seaboard.
  • Purpose: Enhance bilateral ties and disaster response capabilities.
  • Participants: Indian and US Navy ships, aircraft, and personnel.

Exercise Phases:

  1. Harbour Phase (March 18-25):
    • Training Visits, Expert Exchanges, Sports Events, Social Interactions.
    • Planning, Preparation, and Camaraderie Building.
  2. Sea Phase (March 25-31):
    • Maritime, Amphibious, and HADR Operations.
    • Testing Operational Synergy in Real-world Scenarios.

Participants:

  • Indian Contingent: Navy ships, helicopters, landing crafts, Army personnel, vehicles, Air Force aircraft, helicopters, and a Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT).
  • US Contingent: US Navy Ships, troops from US Marine Corps, and US Army.

Objectives:

  • Build Interoperability and SOPs for HADR Operations.
  • Enhance Readiness and Coordination between India and US Forces.
